The people of CAIS

A faculty formed
by the tradition.

CAIS is built around teachers who take learning seriously: its texts, its disciplines and the responsibility of passing knowledge on with care.

Faculty

Learning is carried
by people.

Our faculty bring together deep engagement with the Islamic scholarly tradition and a commitment to the arts of language, reasoning and judgement. Further faculty profiles will be added as the college grows.

01

Founder

Shaykh
Ibrahim Ali

Shaykh Ibrahim Ali graduated from Madinatul Uloom in Kidderminster before continuing his studies with scholars across a number of academies, including SeekersGuidance and Al-Balagh Academy. He has been granted ijāzat in hadith from scholars all over the world with extremely short chains. In fiqh, he holds an ijāza in iftāʾ from two students of Shaykh Mufti Taqi Uthmani. In Qira'at, he holds an ijazah in all ten canonical riwayat from Shaykh Yunus Ghilban of Dasuq in Egypt.

Alongside his traditional Islamic studies, Shaykh Ibrahim holds two master’s degrees: one in Islamic Studies and another in Psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society.

Through CAIS, he is developing an education that brings together Arabic, the Islamic sciences, the classical liberal arts and the great works of Islamic and European civilisation. His aim is to form students who can read deeply, reason carefully and serve their communities with knowledge, character and responsibility.
